The iconic coastal destination of Fire Island recently served as the backdrop for a major gathering of digital entertainers as adult performer and JustFor.Fans chief executive officer Dominic Ford launched the inaugural Collab Week Fire Island. The multi-day event brought prominent content creators from across the globe to the historic New York queer vacation spot to network, produce collaborative digital media, and immerse themselves in the island's unique social scene.
Approximately 60 adult creators traveled from international and domestic locations to participate in the newly established retreat. The gathering functioned as a specialized environment where models could generate shared content while building professional connections and personal camaraderie within a supportive and affirming space tailored to the creator community.
Among the notable performers in attendance were popular creators including Alfonso, Matthew Ellis, Roxas Caelum, Grant Ducati, and Jace Starr. Throughout the retreat, these influencers made use of the island's scenic vistas and lively communal areas as backdrops for high-profile photoshoots and collaborative media distributed to their respective online audiences.
In addition to dedicated media production, attendees participated heavily in the island's celebrated social traditions and entertainment offerings. One of the major highlights of the week occurred when participating models joined pop star Kim Petras on the dance floor during the vibrant Doll Invasion festivities, which drew significant crowds.
The creators also immersed themselves in Fire Island's nightlife and social venues across the week. Group outings included singing and socializing at Reflections, as well as attending the renowned, long-running Underwear Party held at the Ice Palace located in the historic community of Cherry Grove.
For Ford, establishing Collab Week on Fire Island was the culmination of a deep personal relationship with the area spanning more than two decades. Having visited the enclave for 21 years, the platform founder sought to introduce a new generation of digital creators to the island's distinct atmosphere, history, and community culture.
Ford noted that the initiative was designed to transcend a purely transactional production schedule. Emphasizing the collective nature of the experience, he explained that Fire Island is uniquely suited for group travel, adding that the core purpose of Collab Week was to assemble a like-minded cohort of creators who could share and discover the destination together.
Reflecting on the outcome of the inaugural run, Ford expressed immense pride in how the participants responded to the trip. He described the week as an empowering and affirming experience for the models, noting that watching first-time visitors connect with the location reinforced his intention to develop the event into an ongoing tradition.
With the first edition concluded, organizers have already begun evaluating operational lessons to optimize future iterations of the gathering. Ford acknowledged that managing the retreat's debut provided valuable insights into logistical requirements, venue dynamics, and the practical needs of participating content creators.
A central consideration for future planning involves expanding accessibility and managing travel expenses. In order to mitigate the high costs of peak-season lodging on Fire Island, Ford indicated that organizers are exploring post-season dates for year two, which could offer more affordable housing options and allow a broader group of creators to attend.
The Fire Island project represents the second major destination venture organized under the Collab Week banner, building on the framework established by Collab Week Puerto Vallarta, which debuted in Mexico this past December. That initial gathering highlighted significant demand within the adult creator economy for structured, collaborative group travel.
The Puerto Vallarta launch achieved massive scale, drawing more than 200 content creators who took advantage of the coastal city’s extensive nightlife venues, diverse activities, and comparatively lower overall travel expenses. The broad footprint of the Mexican retreat demonstrated the commercial and networking viability of organized creator retreats.
Following the success of both gatherings, JustFor.Fans is currently preparing for the return of Collab Week Puerto Vallarta, which is slated to take place during the first week of this coming December. Organizers anticipate an even larger turnout than last year's event, backed by an expanded schedule of daily events and entertainment options.
Ford confirmed that registration is already open on the JustFor.Fans platform, extending invitations to all verified creators on the service. As the brand prepares for its upcoming winter trip and begins scheduling the next Fire Island iteration, collaborative destination retreats continue to emerge as a prominent format for community-building and media production in the creator space.
